Complimentary Press Badges will be provided for qualifying Press reporters.

To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

Online Media:

"Online Media” includes podcasters (audio and/or video), YouTube Channels (individual or network), online-only Geek Culture or Pop Culture magazines and Geek Culture/Multimedia Popular Arts websites.

 

Geek Culture influencers are welcome, however, you MUST operate on a website or channel separate from your social media accounts. (e.g., Influencer A reporting on behalf of THR, influencer B reporting on behalf of IGN.) Your social media channel solely does NOT qualify influencers for a Press Badge.

 

Print Media:

Magazines & newspapers, including journalists/photographers representing high school or college publications. (Student  journalists/photographers must submit an assignment  letter from their school newspapers when applying.)

Legacy Media:

Broadcast radio or television stations. Coverage will be limited to a two-person team for radio and four-person ENG team for television crews. We cannot accomodate live broadcasts during The Geek Speak Expo, but live hits are permitted as long as they do not disrupt the attendees’ enjoyment. Camera crews are not allowed to set up equipment in a fixed manner (Lights, tripods, signage, chairs, etc.)
